Farewell My Fool this week and more!

Upcoming Show
This weekend, I am performing the second run of my solo show, Farewell My Fool, during the Associsation of Performing Arts Professionals (APAP) week! This is the first time I am performing during APAP and I am literally buzzing with excitement. APAP is a very busy week for many New York City artists as it allows an oppurtunity for our work to be seen by producers, donors, and curators with the hope of establishing connections for future programming. With that, I wanna thank Chelsea Ainsworth, producer for Arts on Site, for inviting me into the programming for this week. It’s a huge priviledge to be granted this slot and I don’t take it lightly. After a two month break from performing, I’m so happy to jump back on stage again. It will be a double showing on Sunday, January 11th at 5:30p and 7:30p at Arts on Site. And as always, if you plan on attending, come in your most whimsical clowny attire.
Other News
I have been nominated for a Bessie Award for Outstanding Performer! I am not sure if I am nominated for my character, JoyBoy, as a whole and the many performances that come with that persona or if it’s for my performance in Farewell My Fool at Triskelion Arts… they weren’t very clear about that and I’m too shy top ask lol. But what’s more important is that the award ceremony is this month and… ya’ll, I need an outfit! I plan on attending as JoyBoy da Clown in full glam. I think that would be really fun. I know my friends who are also being celebrated are gonna turn it up so, I need to pull it together and match their fly. I’m thinking white clown attire with a stand out shoe and editorial face. It’s so funny because I really struggle when it comes to my personal style, but styling JoyBoy?! So. Much. Fun. Maybe I just need to wear a costume everyday.
Til next time,
JoyBoy <3
