Farewell my fool.
Your time has come.
Starry eyed dreams die
When we're young.
Folks, we did it. With your help and support, I am so happy to share that in about two weeks my full length solo show of Farewell My Fool will debut it’s world premiere at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, NY from June 12-14th!
The show is about JoyBoy da Clown, a green eyed and bushy tailed aspiring artist entering the Big Apple. But after a terrible audition experience, they begin to question their role and their integrity.
These past six months of creation have been fruitful:
Utilized 150 hours of studio space to create this show
Collaborated with my unbelievably talented friends
Hosted two free clowning workshops for my community of Brooklyn based artists
Performed excerpts of the show eight time in six venues
Together we fundraised $3,700 to support my collaborators fees
Received a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant
I am so excited to share this show with you. I could literally burst!!!!
I would not have been able to do this with out all of your continued support. It means the world to me to have so much excitement for a character that was built to represent you, my friends and loved ones, the queers, the working class, the struggling artist.
Thursday and Saturday’s tickets are selling fast but there are still tickets available for Friday night! Get them soon! I don’t want to turn anyone away!
